Monitoring What Matters

US Neuro is a national, private-practice group dedicated to providing the best neuro diagnostic services to all markets with the highest level of IONM and EEG Services available.

Our services are designed to assist physicians during surgical interventions and while in clinic settings in which the nervous system and its supportive structures may be put at risk. We are committed to establishing superior standards for neuro diagnostics through advanced clinical practices and state-of-the-art equipment.

Our clinicians operate in accordance with the guidelines and standards of practice set forth by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET), the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS), and the American EEG society (AEEG).

Ongoing measures of competency by our Training and Education department ensure the delivery of our quality services. Our clinical leadership has many years of experience and has served in many capacities ranging from research to training and education which has formulated the foundation of our services.

Intraoperative Neuro Monitoring (IONM)

Intraoperative Neuro Monitoring (IONM) is a service complementing and enhancing Surgeons and Physicians ability to deliver better patient outcomes.

IONM is intended to identify potential Neurological deficits while collaborating with the surgical/medical team providing real-time data as the patient’s procedure progresses. US Neuro clinicians are credentialed by the American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) with designation(s) of REEGT, REPT, CLTM, and CNIM.

Electroencephalography (EEG)

Analysis of Brain & Cognitive Functions

Electroencephalography provides immediate real time assessments of brain physiology and is enhanced by video recording of the patient allowing for correlation of brain physiology and patient behavior.

An important tool in assessing disorders such as epilepsy. Throughout the entire duration of the study US Neuro’s Team provides round-the-clock monitoring and analysis of the data as it is being collected, providing immediate feedback to practitioners and facilities.

Ambulatory

US Neuro has the capability and clinicians to provide extended EEG monitoring for multiple days (based on physician orders) at a patient’s home location, clinical sites, or at medical facilities.

The benefit is improved results and ease for patients. The patient can continue with their daily activities. This approach is typically a less expensive and less intrusive EEG monitoring. US Neuro has the medical capabilities to meet the patient, the trained clinicians to setup the monitoring, state-of-the art equipment to capture and measure the results, and Neurologists to interpret the results.

EEGs can assist in the diagnosis and treatment of many conditions:

Sleeping Disorders

Epilepsy

Memory and Cognitive Disorders

Brain Death

Coma

Dizziness

Strokes

Headaches

Diagnostic EEG Services

Routine EEG

Diagnostic EEG provides a limited sample of data during a 30-60 minute recording of the EEG and video bedside in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. During the testing period the patient is asked to perform “activation procedures” that may enhance or elicit responses aiding in diagnosing and treating the disorder in question.

Quantitative EEG

Quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) is a modern type of electroencephalography (EEG) analysis that involves recording digital EEG signals which are processed, transformed, and analyzed using complex mathematical algorithms. QEEG has brought new techniques of EEG signals feature extraction: analysis of specific frequency band and signal complexity, analysis of connectivity, and network analysis. The clinical application of QEEG is extensive, including neuropsychiatric disorders, epilepsy, stroke, dementia, traumatic brain injury, and mental health disorders.

Ambulatory EEG

Ambulatory EEG allows for longer term recording and monitoring of the EEG with extended periods of time beyond the Diagnostic EEG in the patient’s home, acute care settings, and long-term care facilities. The study is set up on site and allows the patient to continue with many of their normal activities throughout the duration of the study. Utilizing this Technology can also be beneficial in decreasing the length of stay for patients. Throughout the duration of the study patients are monitored by US Neuro’s Team. Once the study is completed the data is analyzed and delivered to the practitioner.

Continuous EEG Monitoring

An EEG diagnostic technique which involves inpatient hospitalization for a period of time, typically days to weeks, during which they are continuously monitored and recorded with a video camera and an electroencephalograph. Your physician may request a Continuous Long-Term EEG to aid in the diagnosis of seizures, stroke, cardiac arrest, or other medical conditions. This service is commonly used in Intensive Care areas. US Neuro provides this around the clock service to many facilities throughout the US.
